Oak Vanity Unit

This vanity unit is made from Oak-veneered MDF panels which are ‘lipped’ on the front edges with solid Oak. This gives good stability, in that the larger panels will not twist or move over time as solid timber might and the cost is reduced for the customer. I designed the unit to have a rebated front edge, so that when the drawer front closes, the front edges are hardly seen. The unit was designed to fit into the space between the window and the wardrobe I made last year and the ‘Victorian walls’ were combatted with Oak filler wedges!
